Dr. Leon Freeland

Dr. Leon Freeland is the owner of Companion Animal Hospital and Clinic. Dr Freeland is originally from Nebraska and has a degree from the University of Nebraska. His Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from Iowa State University in 1988. Dr. Freeland lives in Carmel with his wife, Deb, and their two children, Grant and Kelly, their cats Gordon and Puff, and their dogs Mallory and Annie. Dr. Freeland enjoys general practice and has special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, and cardiology. He also enjoys spending time with his family and attending his children's sporting events.


Lori Fitzgerald, Operations Manager

Lori is the manager for Companion Animal Hospital. Lori is responsible for the day to day operations of the office, kennel and grooming department. Lori joined Companion Animal Hospital in February 2007. She is an Indiana Wesleyan University graduate where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing with a Minor in Communications. She is currently going to school to receive her Master's of Science in Management with a concentration in Human Resources. Lori resides in Indianapolis with her husband Matt. Outside of her time at Companion Animal Hospital, Lori loves to travel, spend time with friends & family, run and volunteer in Marine Mammal at the Indianapolis Zoo. Lori is the proud parent of Tasha (blue Persian), Bo (Shih Tzu), Stella (Boxer) and Bailey (yellow Persian).


Jessica Peveler, RVT

After graduating from Purdue University in December 2006, Jessica became Companion Animal Hospital's first registered technician. Outside of her time at Companion Animal Hospital, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband James and daughter Jenna, reading, playing games and disc golfing. Jessica has two cats (Bruiser and Talyn) and two African Clawed Frogs (Pocky and Halo). Most recently, she has become a volunteer with Indy Feral.


Amanda Storm, Vet Assistant

Amanda joined Companion Animal Hospital in February 2007. She is a graduate of Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and Minors in both Biology and Psychology. Amanda is also planning on returning to Purdue for her DVM and PhD in December, and will eventually pursue a career in academia and research. In her free time, Amanda enjoys music, movies and horse back riding. Amanda is the proud owner of two beagles (Connor and Braegan) and a paint gelding (Van).


Crystal Clinard, Assistant

Crystal joined Companion Animal Hospital in April 2008. Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband Joe and three year old daughter Kendall in their new home, going on family outings to Brown county, movies and out to dinner. She is the proud owner of two cats (Sammie & Dannie) and one dog (Goose). In the near future she would like to start volunteering at Humane Societies.


Cori Lindley, RVT

Cori is a native Floridian that joined Companion Animal Hospital in July 2008. She has been a registered veterinary technician since 2002. In the past she has worked in various fields of veterinary medicine including cancer research and shelter medicine. Outside of work, Cori enjoys gardening, biking with her husband, Laban, and volunteering with Indy Feral. She has two dogs (Sweetie and Yukon) and two cats (Kit Kat and Jazmine).


JT Hall, Kennel Assistant

JT joined Companion Animal Hospital in July 2005. JT resides in Muncie with his wife Michelle. JT is a proud owner of Maddie (mixed breed), Jessie (Golden Retriever), and Bud (Lab). In his free time, JT enjoys spending time with friends and family.


Kelly Baker, Client Services

Kelly joined Companion Animal Hospital in February 2009. She resides in McCordsville with her family of two kitties (Evelynn and Nelly), her yellow lab (Henley), and her ten year old son, Chase. Kelly plans to continue her education in the veterinary field and pursue her degree in veterinary technology. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys attending her son's soccer and baseball games, running, and spending time with family and friends.


Christy Lewis, Vet Assistant

Christy joined Companion Animal Hospital in April 2009. She resides in Greenfield with her daughters, Ashley and Madison. She also shares her home with three dogs (Norman, Liberty, and Vinnie), a cat (Clark), and a Lionhead Bunny (Alice). Christy is very excited about her career at Companion Animal Hospital and looks forward to furthering her knowledge in veterinary medicine. In her free time she enjoys doing home improvements, working in her flower gardens, going to her childrens sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends.
