Dr. Leon Freeland

Dr. Leon Freeland is the owner of Companion Animal Hospital and Clinic. Dr Freeland is originally from Nebraska and has a degree from the University of Nebraska. His Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from Iowa State University in 1988. Dr. Freeland lives in Carmel with his wife, Deb, and their two children, Grant and Kelly, and their cat, Gordon, and their golden retriever, Mallory. Dr. Freeland enjoys general practice and has special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, and cardiology. He also enjoys spending time with his family and attending his children's sporting events.
Lori Fitzgerald, Operations Manager

Lori is the manager for Companion Animal Hospital. Lori is responsible for the day to day operations of the office, kennel and grooming department. Lori joined Companion Animal Hospital in February 2007. She is an Indiana Wesleyan University graduate where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing with a Minor in Communications. Lori resides in Indianapolis with her husband Matt. Outside of her time at Companion Animal Hospital, Lori loves to travel, spend time with friends & family, run and volunteer in Marine Mammal at the Indianapolis Zoo. Lori is the proud parent of Tasha (blue Persian), Bo (Shih Tzu), Stella (Boxer) and Bailey (yellow Persian).
Jessica Peveler, RVT

Jessica is the head technician and OSHA coordinator. In February 2007, Jessica became Companion Animal Hospital's first registered technician. She recently passed her boards and graduated in December 2006 from Purdue University's Veterinary Technology Program. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. Outside of her time at Companion Animal Hospital, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband James and daughter Jenna, reading, playing games and disc golfing. Jessica has two cats (Bruiser and Talyn) and two African Clawed Frogs (Pocky and Halo).
Amanda Storm, Vet Assistant

Amanda joined Companion Animal Hospital in February 2007. She is a graduate of Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and Minors in both Biology and Psychology. Amanda is also planning on returning to Purdue for her DVM and PhD in December, and will eventually pursue a career in academia and research. In her free time, Amanda enjoys music, movies and horse back riding. Amanda is the proud owner of two beagles (Connor and Braegan) and a paint gelding (Van).
Leah Tepe, Vet Assistant

Leah joined Companion Animal Hospital in December 2007. She is a graduate of Greenfield-Central High School and is now attending IUPUI for Pre-Vet. In her free time, Leah enjoys riding her horse (Max), traveling, hiking, camping and spending time with friends and family. Leah is a proud owner of two cats (Patches and Tiger).
Crystal Clinard, Receptionist

Crystal joined Companion Animal Hospital in April 2008. Crystal is a graduate of American School and is planning to pursue her Vet Assistant Certificate. Crystal has a daughter Kendall that is two years old and a husband Joe. In her free time, Crystal enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is also the proud parent of two cats (Sammie and Danica).
Cori Lindley, RVT

Cori is a Registered Veterinary Technician that joined Companion Animal Hospital in July 2008. She graduated in 2002 from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program. In the past she has worked in various fields of veterinary medicine including shelter medicine and cancer research. Cori recently moved to Indianapolis from Florida with her husband Laban, and their two dogs (Sweetie and Yukon) and three cats (Kit Kat, Jazmine and Blue).
Jillian Rohlfing, Vet/Kennel Assistant

Jillian joined Companion Animal Hospital in March 2008. She is currently attending Vet Tech Institute and will receive an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in December. Jillian has a son Caden that is four years old and a fiancé Steve. In her free time, Jillian enjoys spending time with her friends and family, horseback riding, attending demolition derbies, showing animals and attending outside events. She is also the proud parent of Shaggie (Lhasa), Darnee (Cocker) and Liger (DLH).

Marie Mascari, Groomer

Marie joined Companion Animal Hospital in July 2008. She is currently attending Purdue University to receive her Veterinary Technician Degree. Marie is a proud parent of a three month year old daughter Lyric, a bichon frise Romeo, and a hamster Hami. In her free time, Marie enjoys to read, watch movies, and spend time with her fiancé Rick.
