Dr. Leon Freeland

Dr. Leon Freeland is the owner of Companion Animal Hospital and Clinic. Dr Freeland is originally from Nebraska and has a degree from the University of Nebraska. His Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from Iowa State University in 1988. Dr. Freeland lives in Carmel with his wife, Deb, and their two children, Grant and Kelly, their cats Gordon and Puff, and their dogs Mallory and Annie. Dr. Freeland enjoys general practice and has special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, and cardiology. He also enjoys spending time with his family and attending his children's sporting events.


Dr. Christopher Hall

Dr. Christopher Hall is the newest addition to the Companion Animal Hospital team, graduating from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2010. He is originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, but grew up in Indianapolis prior to attending Purdue University for his undergraduate studies in Biology prior to veterinary school. Dr. Hall currently lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Kimberly, and their little Jack Russell terrier Josie. Dr. Hall enjoys general practice, with specific interests in dentistry, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and endocrinology. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and Josie, getting together with friends and family, and various other hobbies including reading, watching movies, playing basketball and tennis, and running.


Kelly Howell, Practice Manager

Kelly joined Companion Animal Hospital in February 2009. She resides in Camby with her husband Chris and 10 year old son, Chase. They are the proud parents of two kitties (Evelynn and Nelly), and two Labrador Retrievers (Henley and Cheyenne). Kelly plans to continue her education in the veterinary field and pursue her degree in veterinary technology. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys camping, fishing, running, attending her son's soccer and baseball games, and spending time with family and friends.


Jennifer Parks, Assistant

Jennifer joined Companion Animal Hospital July 2010. She is originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Jennifer enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2000, serving 5 years (including a tour overseas for Operation Iraqi Freedom). After getting out she pursued her dream in caring for animals. Jennifer is married to her husband Eddie, together they have one son. They are also proud owners of two Dobermans (Daisy and Sterling). Jennifer's hobbies include: running, hockey, outdoor activities and horses.


Jessica Peveler, RVT

After graduating from Purdue University in December 2006, Jessica became Companion Animal Hospital's first registered technician. Outside of her time at Companion Animal Hospital, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband James and daughter Jenna, reading, playing games and disc golfing. Jessica has two cats (Bruiser and Talyn) and two African Clawed Frogs (Pocky and Halo). Most recently, she has become a volunteer with Indy Feral.


Cori Lindley, RVT

Cori is a native Floridian that joined Companion Animal Hospital in July 2008. She has been a registered veterinary technician since 2002. In the past she has worked in various fields of veterinary medicine including cancer research and shelter medicine. Outside of work, Cori enjoys gardening, biking with her husband, Laban, and volunteering with Indy Feral. She has two dogs (Sweetie and Yukon) and two cats (Kit Kat and Jazmine).

Christy joined Companion Animal Hospital in April 2009. She has two daughters, Ashley and Madison. They share their home with a Bernese Mountain dog named Norman, two Papillons Henry Vittles and Vera Vittles and a Lionhead bunny named Alice. Christy loves her career in veterinary medicine and looks forward to furthering her knowledge in the field. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, friends, and dogs. She enjoys camping, boating, swimming and gardening.

JT joined Companion Animal Hospital in July 2005. JT resides in Muncie with his wife Michelle. JT is a proud owner of Maddie (mixed breed), Jessie (Golden Retriever), and Bud (Lab). In his free time, JT enjoys spending time with friends and family.


Tammy Somers, Kennel Assistant

Tammy joined Companion Animal Hospital in September 2009 after moving to Indianapolis from Hobart, Indiana. She resides in Lawrence with her boyfriend Jeremiah. They are the proud parents of seventeen rescued animals including dogs, cats, iguanas, birds, a ferret and a salt water fish tank. Tammy is an attorney during the week. She works at the Indiana Attorney General Office in the Consumer Protection Division. Her favorite cases involve shutting down puppy mills. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys going to vegetarian restaurants, getting the word out that pit bulls are NOT bad dogs and driving north to Gary to see her dad and many friends that still live in the region.
